  4. Bypassing Authentication Mechanisms: An advanced pen testing technique is bypassing authentication mechanisms, where testers find ways to circumvent authentication methods or exploit multifactor login weaknesses.

  5. Zero-Day Vulnerability Testing: Using fuzzing and vulnerability discovery techniques, pen testers attempt to uncover unknown security flaws, known as zero-day vulnerabilities, which haven’t yet been patched.
